Unveiled at the 1968 Paris Salon, the 365 GTB/4 Daytona was Ferrari's new design for performance for sports cars.
Everything about the Daytona was cutting edge, and it signaled to the world, and especially to Lamborghini, that Ferrari was here to stay.
While the Lamborghini Miura P400 pushed the limits of performance through utilizing a mid-engine layout, the Daytona with its two-seater front-engine V-12 was still capable more extreme performance, and proved it.

specifications on November 5, 1973 and delivered the following month to Luigi Chinetti Motors of Greenwich, Connecticut.
By November 1975, it had relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, advertised in that month's Road & Track magazine as probably the last unregistered Daytona coupe in U.
S.
Never driven.
It is possible it was owned at the time by Don Kalmokoff, inventor of the Aristocart stereo tape cartridge player used by FM radio stations.
Later in the 1970s the car was purchased by Vancouver resident F.
W.
Griffiths, who had it refinished in Red.
In 1981, it was sold to William Gillespie Jr.
, Tennessee.
1985 saw this Daytona in the care of well-known dealer Steve Forristall who then sold the Daytona to Ron Cohen, Maryland.
Mr.
Cohen stored the car until 2009 at which point he spent approximately $50,000 returning the car to roadworthy condition.
Afterward, it was sold through a broker to Peter Kumar, Gulling Motorcars, New York.
It was kept by Mr.
Kumar until 2018 and when it was sold at auction to its most recent collector ownership.
During its current ownership, a careful, sympathetic restoration was performed to its original specifications.
This included a repaint in its original color Black (Nero), 1 of only 30 finished in Nero.
The engine and transmission have never been removed from the car, only detailed and its interior is completely original and in superb condition throughout.
Today showing just 16,000 miles from new, the history has been documented from new by historian, Marcel Massini.
While it in its most recent ownership, the Daytona was serviced by Ferrari specialist Greg Jones.
This 365 GTB/4 Daytona is complete with original books, tools, factory jack, and very rare wiping cloth.
Further accompanied by ownership and service history as well as Ferrari Classiche Red Book Certification documenting its original engine, transmission and various other components as matching to the car.
