Vehicle Description -MB Black Pearl with Palomino leather interior, Tan carpeting, Black Mohair convertible top, Factory hardtop, 29,000 miles from new, 5.
6 Liter V8 engine, Automatic transmission.
This 560 SL was sold to its original owner and Rhode Island resident.
Very little with regard to its early life is known.
When purchased by its previous owner in 2016, it was in excellent condition, both mechanically and cosmetically showing that it was owned by an enthusiast who cared for it from new.
It new owner and most recent owner decided to restore the cosmetics and convert all to European cosmetic specification (bumpers and headlamps) for the much cleaner and much more stylish appearance.
This work which included complete strip and repaint, interior, top, underside, suspension, brakes, etc.
was performed during 2017-2018 and is photo documented.
By his own admission, I'm obsessive about my cars, I ended-up having to put a fortune into it to get it right, which took quite some time.
The plan was always to return it to cosmetic Eurospec, because the 107 is a beautiful car absent the horrendous mods that the 1970s DOT imposed that ruined its aesthetics.
I think we accomplished that.
The car is spectacular.
This 560 with its classic SL Roadster lines is not only good looking, but can also be used effortlessly and is, in our estimation, a lot of usable and reliable vintage Mercedes SL convertible fun for the money.
The R107 SL is iconic to sport convertibles as well as being an iconic Mercedes in its own right.
In exceptional condition, it is available for a fraction of the cost to bring to its present condition.
This 560 SL is ready for immediate enjoyment.
