6 Liter Flat 4-cylinder engine, 4-speed manual transmission, Documented restoration, Original colors, Two-owners from new, Exceptional throughout.
This Karmann Ghia was produced April 30th, 1968 and was originally sold new in Fresno, California to Mr.
Robert Evans.
Fitted with US equipment, this Karmann Ghia was optioned with Seatbelts with retractor, MPH speedometer, Sealed-beam headlamps, Hazard warning system, Laminated windscreen, Ram protection, Reversing light, and 12-volt electrical system.
The VW remained in California from new and even retains its original Black California license plate.
Sold in 2014 to only its second owner, this collector commissioned a full restoration to bring the Karmann Ghia to exceptional concours standards.
The restoration was performed by California Classix of San Buenaventura, CA, who specialize in original, rust free California cars.
Upon disassembly, the Karmann Ghia was found to be highly original with no rust or any accident damage.
During its recent collector ownership, this Karmann Ghia was exceptionally well cared for and serviced regardless of use.
It was taken to many concours shows in the Minneapolis area and never saw inclement weather.
It runs and drives extremely well, it is tight and powerful and a pleasure to drive.
This Karmann Ghia is complete with its original owner's manual, tools, restoration and service records, original radio, jack, spare wheel, original brochure and its VW Certificate of Authenticity.
