As a Licensed Psychologist, you would supervise and/or provide professional psychological services. In addition to assessment and treatment, your duties may include:
clinical leadership; program management; forensic or court-ordered assessment, treatment and expert testimony; psychological services requiring expertise in neuropsychology, geropsychology, cognitive rehabilitation, trauma, and substance and/or chemical abuse programs; specialized assessment (functional, personality, risk, competency, vocational, education); design and application of behavioral technology and other specialized psychological interventions; individual, group or family therapy; crisis intervention; consultation to other agencies; training; and peer review. Notes:
In order to be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or federally assisted program). Salary Range:
From $97412 to $108935 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR Transfer Opportunity:
Candidates must have one-year permanent competitive service as a Licensed Psychologist and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. In order to be eligible for 70.1 transfer, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service in a title approved for transfer by the Department of Civil Service that is within two salary grades or one M grade of the grade 25 level. In addition, candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State; OR Temporary Appointment:
Licensed Psychologist is a continuous recruitment examination. Candidates who are not on the eligible list may apply for this position and if appointed, will receive a temporary appointment.
