The successful candidate must enjoy working with children, possess strong communication skills and be able to work well with staff and the public.
Possible
Responsibilities:
Working a busy children's service desk which includes but is not limited to assisting children and caregivers in library services and helping Librarians to locate library materials.
Assist with programs for families with children.
Possess excellent communication and organizational skills for assisting Librarians on library programs and events.
Other duties as required.
Required education to be considered:
Bachelor's Degree Skills considered:
Experience working in a Library.
Prior experience working with Google applications.
A strong interest and knowledge of children's literature is Salary/
Benefits:
The starting salary is $18.
63/hr.
Positions allows for up to 17.
5 hours per week.
The hours may include mornings, afternoons, and evening shifts and includes a Saturday rotation.
Sundays are voluntary.
The Half Hollow Hills Community Library has a professional staff association represented by NYSUT.
Benefits include NYS Retirement Plan, paid accrued time off as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
