PROGRAM SUPERVISOR - Madonna Heights Group Residence
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Program Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the Group Residence Program.
Located on the Madonna Heights Campus.
The Program Supervisor will ensure that all aspects of the residential program is operating in a way to meet the needs of the residents who live at the Group Residence looking for support and assistance.
The Program Supervisor provides the leadership to ensure that all staff are working collaboratively with the education, Clinical and Medical team to best serve our residents and their families.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Hiring of all new employees across different roles and orientation of new workers on policies, procedures, and daily routines.
Provide on-site supervision, corrective feedback and support to all group residence staff.
Works collaboratively with the Clinical Team on all admissions and discharges.
Participates in periodic case reviews to ensure that the service needs of each resident are met i.
e.
medical, psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, and educational/vocational.
Attend weekly council meetings with residents to resolve issues, plan activities, plan weekly menus, assign chores and responsibilities.
The Program Supervisor oversees the implementation of psychosocial rehabilitation groups (aka Community Integration and Life Skills groups) for residents and facilitates groups as needed.
The Program Supervisor oversees the implementation of the recreational activities for the program.
Incident reporting as needed Oversee the implementation of behavior management strategies.
Attends in-service training as indicated.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS MSW or master's degree in field of human services or BA degree with 5 plus years of experience SED, DD population.
Experience working with emotionally disturbed/mildly retarded adolescents/ young adults.
Demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience is required.
Acceptable background check through state Central Register.
Compliance with health regulations for physical examinations and Mantoux testing.
Excellent organizational and writing skills.
RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERSThe Program Supervisor is accountable to the Program Director.
In addition, employees need to possess the following characteristics:

Have a strong sensitivity to cultural differences present among staff and clients within our organization.
Possess a strong belief in people's ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families.
Ability to set limits and maintain helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately.
